Colletta Work Day

Spend a day of your easter break helping on the terraces of Colletta. There are plenty of tasks to do to preserve our beautiful surrounds and to enusre a good harvest at the Olive festa:

+ Richard Travers will be doing a survey of the state of all our terraces, trees and walls. He will need helpers that can walk, see and write.
+ Greg Wilkins has begun restoring some stone walls, and could use more strong hands.
+ Adopt a tree! Many old trees are being strangled by vines. It is easy and rewarding to clear these and save the tree. Pick a tree, any tree and make it yours. Greg can supply clippers, saws and advice.
+ Fertilize the Olive trees. Fertilizer needs to be spread under the Olives. Greg has some available and can point you to the terraces not yet done.
+ Collect and cut firewood. Many trees and branches have fallen over the winter. This can be collected, cut and stacked to dry out for the next winter. Greg has started on this and can provide tools.
