Olive Festival 2008
This year the dates for the Olive Festival have been brought forward in the hope that the olives will be more plentiful and of better quality.
It will take place from Thursday November 6th - Sunday November 9th.
The programme will be as follows:
Thursday November 6th Scola Restaurant 8pm Cost €45.00 (Wine included)
Menu:
Flute of Franciacorte with appetizers
Salmon and prawn quenelles in a fresh oxheart tomato sauce
Seared tuna fillet with a puree of grilled peppers and fresh chestnuts
Black vegetable gnocchetti with squid and diced courgettes
Fillet of ombrina (sea fish) with potatoes and olives
Baxin di Albenga (typical Albenga dessert with Pigato custard)
Water
Coffee and biscuits

Friday November 9th: Olive picking from 9.00 to 16.00. Meeting place in front of the church.
Lunch break: Picnic supplied Osteria Trapassatomoderno Price € 10.00
Evening meal Gin Restaurant 8pm Price €45.00 (Wine included)
Menu:
Beef tartare with aromatic oils and mixed salad
Parcel of leeks and chestnuts on a chestnut sauce
Maltagliati pasta with a vegetable sauce and turmeric
Liquorice and guinea fowl risotto
Fassone beef steak with potato puree and black truffle
Bitter chocolate flan with rum cream
Water - Coffee
Wine:
Vermentino BioVio
Dapprimo (Rossese and Carignan)
Moscato dei Vignaioli
Saturday November 8th: Olive picking from 9.00 – 12.00
Lunch Garello (while the oil is being produced) Price: € 26.00 (wine included)
Usual rustic lunch with various typical Ligurian antipasti, first course, second course, dessert, water, wine, coffee and liqueurs
Sunday November 9th:
Morning: Condominium Annual General Meeting to take place in BT meeting room.
Lunch: Osteria Trapassatomoderno Price € 18.00
Gastronomic buffet with wine included

All payments should be made directly to the Cultural Association, in the persons of Anna Best or Francesco Montalbano, during the Olive Festival weekend.
We would also like to inform you that the 2009 Colletta calendars will be available, with all the winning photos from the competition in August. They will cost € 10.00 each and can be purchased directly from Anna Best, Francesco Montalbano, the Osteria or by emailing us at eventi@colletta-it.com
