Spiritual matters and culture

It is well-known that from small beginnings come great things.
In fact, one doesn’t always need large resources and complicated bureaucracy to carry out projects which appear to be modest but in reality have a great cultural impact.
Sometimes all that is needed is goodwill.
A shining example of this is the donation of two hundred euros by the Cultural Association of Colletta di Castelbianco to the small but delightful chapel of Santa Lucia, situated at the entrance to the medieval village.
Once again, with the approach of the Festival of Santa Lucia on December 13th, the Cultural Association has become involved in helping the small resident community with the upkeep and decorating of the chapel and surrounding street. Although the sum involved is minimal, it should be remembered that the Cultural Association is a not-for-profit organisation and therefore relies on personal donations of a voluntary nature.
A small effort with a charitable aim, but above all a new way of promoting culture.
Contributing to the re-evaluation of ancient traditions and to the recovery of the artistic heritage of the hinterland is without a shadow of a doubt a simple and worthy initiative that helps to increase cultural awareness and safeguard the land in which it emerges, about which much has been spoken in recent times.
